How to get Healthy, Supple Skin ?

The answer is pretty simple. There are fewer things that you should keep in your mind, and will eventually help you to get better-looking skin. The real glow comes from within.  There are a number of factors that decide how your skin looks. These can be your diet, the way of cleaning, the use of various products, stress, smoking, and alcohol.                                    
        

There are some foods, that can help your skin;
  

Water


Each and everyone is aware of how much water is important for us. So, one should drink enough water that can keep his/her body hydrated. Water not only removes the toxins but also keeps the blood flowing which improves the radiance of the skin.

Bell peppers, Citrus Fruits, Green leafy veggies


                                      
All of these are rich in Vitamin C. It helps in collagen production, thus improves the skin structure and gives a firm and healthy skin. Vitamin C also acts as an antioxidant, that neutralizes the free radicles, that harm collagen, and elastin, giving you an elastic plumpy skin.

Berries


Berries are a powerhouse of antioxidants. So, they combat any cellular damage caused to the skin. It may help in slowing down the process of aging.

Carrots


Carrots contain a huge amount of beta-carotene, which acts as a precursor for Vitamin A. Vitamin A plays an important role in healing the skin, repairing any damage to the skin, helps in collagen production and reduction of spots.

Tomatoes


The principle pigment in tomato is lycopene, responsible for its bright red color. Lycopene is an antioxidant and has been used by the body for protection against UV rays. So. do not forget to add raw, cooked, or tomato ketchup in your diet. It is interesting to note that most of the antioxidants get destroyed on heat treatment, it is only lycopene whose concentration increases on heating. Such that tomato ketchup has higher lycopene content than the raw tomato.

 Some other things to be kept in mind while dealing with your skin are:

  • Always treat skin gently. Avoid using any harsh soaps or face washes and avoid using too much of these products, as it results in loss of natural moisture of the skin and leaves you with dry patched skin.
  • Keep your skin moisturized.
  • Avoid taking too much of stress, Stress is directly linked to aging. Stress increases the free radicle in the body, which will fasten the aging process.
  • Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen, with SPF not less than 15.
